30 day free trial nice app

:
Positives:
1. Comprehensive coverage of the print editions of Bay Area News Group papers incl. Mercury, Oakland Trib, etc.

2. Save articles for offline reading.
3. Search article database by word/topic.
4. Enlarge/decrease font size on screen. Great for reading on my iPhone.
5. Get alerts when new articles post on key topics.
6. Quick loading

Negatives
1. No landscape view.
2. No pictures or video links like USAToday/NYT.
3. No way to comment on columnist write like the web version of these papers allow.

Hopefully it will be free to print subscribers to keep us subscribing.

3/5 stars

Download is free. Must pay $1.99 to continue

:
I downloaded this app because it offered a 30 day trial offer. I used it to read the news on the go without buying a hard copy newspaper. What I found is if you follow the newspapers on twitter you get the same links to the articles that are found in the app. If you do not use twitter than use this app. As far as the app goes: need to have more sports, business articles/sections. Able to select between "papers".
